HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1594 RESOLUTION NO. 1594 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORKMAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER WELL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. VMREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workman needed in the construction of a Water Well in the City of Huntington Beach, and has considered evidence presented. LABORERS - Time and one-half for all overtime, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. TEAYSTERS - Time and one-half for all overtime, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. CEMENT MASONS - Time and one-half for just three hours, double time thereafter. CARPENTERS - Double time for all overtime. IRON WORKERS - Double time for all overtime. "The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements." 3 Resolution No. 1594 The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local prevailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
