X RESOLUTION No 1596 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHAB_ ITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIG_ BATED AS "HUNTINGTON HARBOUR CORPORATION ANNEXATION PARCEL #1" , AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNT- INGTON BEACH: 1, That pursuant to the provisions of the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, " a petition was signed by owners of not less than one-fourth of the land in the here- inafter described territory by area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Orange, was filed with the Council of the City of Huntington Beach on ..Tune 4 th, 1962, requesting annexation of the here- inafter described territory to said City; that said territory which said petitioners request be annexed to the City of Hunt- ington Beach and which said City and its Council propose to annex to the City of Huntington Beach is situate in the County of Orange, State of California, hereby designated "Huntington Harbour Corporation Annexation - Parcel #1" , and described as follows: Beginning at an angle point in the City Boundary Line of the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, said Boundary having been 1, Res. No. 1596 established. by "Sunset Barbour Annexation" in Ord- dinance No. 800 of said City, said angle point be- ing at the intersection of the southwesterly prolong- ation of the line common to the Rancho La Bolsa Chica and Las Alamitos with the common boundary be- tween the property conveyed to Lomita Land and Water Company per deed recorded in Book 160, Page 282 of Deeds, records of said. County and the property convey- ed to Sunset Beach Company as described in deed re- corded in Book 108, Page 46 of said Deeds; thence along said southwesterly prolongation, leaving said City Boundary Line and following along the City Bound- ary Line of the City of Seal Beach as per Annexation ISO. 7, Ordinance No. 589, S 490 34' 33n W 975.18 feet, more or less to a point in the northeasterly line of the Right of Way of Pacific Coast Highway (D.SAlter- nate 101) 100 feet in width as per deed recorded in Book 410, Page 165 of Official Records, Records of Said County; said last mentioned point being in a curve con- cave to the southwest having a radius of 1060 feet a radial line of said curve from said point bearing A 260 05' 34" W; thence southeasterly along said curve and along said right of way line through a central angle of 200 32' 58 a distance of 380.17 feet, more or less; thence tangent to said curve and along said right of way line S 43 � 21' 27" E 389.02 feet more or less to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the south- west having a radius of 1060 feet; thence southeaster- ly along said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line through a central angle of 180 27112" a distance of 341.40 feet, more or less; thence tangent to said curve and along said right of way line S 24 54' 15" E 63.84 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 940 feet, thence southeasterly along said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line through a central angle of 70 101 23" a distance of 117,68 feet, more or less; thence tangent to said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line S 320 04' 38" E 35.23 feet, more or less to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the northeast having_ a radius of 940 feet; thence south- easterly along said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line through_a central angle of 11020'58" a distance of 186.20 feet, more or less; thence tangent to said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line S 430 25' 36" E 563.44 feet, more or less, to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 940 feet; thence southeasterly along said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line through a central angle of 80 20' 46" a distance of 2. Ret. No.1596 136.93 feet, more or less; thence tangent to said last mentioned curve and .along said right of way line S 510 46' 22" E 179.28 feet, more or less,to the northwesterly- line of Tract No. 21 as per map recorded in Book 9 Page 22 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said bounty; thence along said Tract line N 460 39' 080 E 323.43 feet, more or less to the most northerly corner of said Tract No, 21 and to said City Boundary Line of the City of Hunt- ington Beach as per Sunset Harbour Annexation, Ordi- nance No. 800; thence along said City Boundary Line and along said common boundary between land conveyed to Lomita Land and Water Company and land conveyed. to Sunset Beach Company N 420 45' 27" W 1448,96 feet more or less, to an angle point in said City Boundary Line; thence continuing along said Cityy Boundary Line and along said common boundary N 16© 24' 4O" W 1468.28 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. Section 2. That the County Boundary Commission of Orange County, California, did in sesseon duly assembled on May 28th, 1962, approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said "Huntington Harbour Corporation Annexation - Parcel #18 , as above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents of said annexation of said territory to said City. Section 3,` That July 16th, 1962, at the hour of 8:0 o'clock P.M, of said day, in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person owning property within the uninhabited terr- itory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of Huntington Beach and having any objection to the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City of Hunt- ington. Beach and show cause why such uninhabited territory 3' Res, No. 1596 should not be so annexed to said City of Huntington Beach. Such protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the description and area of such property in general terms. Section 4. The City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice, but not of- tener than once a week, in the "Huntington Beach News" , a newspaper of general circulation published in said City of Huntington Beach, the city to which it is proposed to annex the aforesaid territory, and also in the "Westminster Herald" a newspaper of general circulation published outside the ,tcity of Huntington Beach, but in the County of Orange, California, the county in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Huntington Beach, said publication to be complete at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing, section 5. And the said City Clerk is further authoriz- ed and directed to cause written notice of such proposed an- nexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll available on the date the above proceedings were initiated, at the addresses shown on Res. No. 1596 said assessment roll or as known to said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands in which he has any Interest; either legal or equitable with said Clerk, such notice to be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation. Section 6. In the event any land within the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by a county., the said City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County, such notice to be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexa- tion. Section 7. The said City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto in the manner required by law, PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day of June, 1962, Mayor ATTES City C i Res No. 1596 STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) County of Orange ) ss City of Huntington Peach ) I, PAUL C.
