RESOLUTION No 1597 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED, AS "HUNTINGTON HARBOUR CORPORATION ANNEXd— TION " PARCEL #2a AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOA HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH: 1, That pursuant to the provisions of the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939,0 a petition was signed by owners of not less than one-fourth-of the land in the hereinafter described territory by area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Orange, was filed with the Council of the City of Hunting- ton Beach on , June 4 th, 1962, . requesting annexation of the hereinafter described territory to said City; that said terr- itory which said petitioners request be annexed to the City of Huntington Beach and which said City and its Council pro pose to annex to the City of Huntington Beach is situate in the County of Orange, State of California, hereby designated "Huntington Harbour Corporation Annexation - Parcel #20 , and described as follows: Beginning at an angle point in the City Boundary Line of the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, said Boundary having been estab Res. No.1597 lished by "Sunset Harbour Annexation" , in Ordinance No. 800 ofsaid City, said angle point being at the Intersection of the common boundary between the prop- erty conveyed to Lomita Land and Water Company per deed recorded in Book 160, Page 282 of Deeds records of said County and the property conveyed to gunset Beach Company as described in deed recorded in Book 108, Page 46 of said Deeds with the north line of that certain 1054 acre parcel shown on map recorded in Book 7, Page 20, of Record of Surveys, records of said County* thence along said City Boundary Line and along said common boundary N 380 061 22" W 1139.45 feet to an angle point in said City 'Boundary Line; thence continuing along said City Boundary Line and along said common boundary N 470 13' 340 W 1262.70 feet more or less, to the most easterly- corner of Tract No. 21 as per map recorded in Book 9, Page 22 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said County;thence leaving said City Boundary line and followingalong the southeasterly line of said Tract No, 21 216731 12* West 249.38 feet; thence S 70 561 07" W 53,74 feet, more or less, to a point in the northeasterly right of way line of Pacific Coast Highway, U.S.( Alternate 101) 100 feet in width as per deed recorded in Book 410, Page 165 of Official Records, Records of said County.said point being in a curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 2940 feet; a radial line of said curve from said point bearing N 440 121 36" E; thence southeasterly along said curve and along said right of way line through a central angle of 10 14' 30" a distance of 63.71feet; thence continuing along said right of way line S 470 81' 54" E 279.29 feet; more or less to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the southwest having a radius of 3060 feet thence southeasterly along said last mentioned curve and along said rightof way line through a central Jmgle of 30 39128w--a distance of 195.23 feet, more or less* thence tangent to said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line S 430 22' 34" X1599#82 feet, more or less, to the beginning of a-tangent curve concave to the southwest having a radius of 3050 feet; thence southeasterly along said last mentioned curve and along said right of way line through a central angle of 20 421 40" a distance of 144-32 feet,, more or less to the centerline of Warner Avenue, (formerly Los Patos Avenue 60 feet in width; thence along said con- terline- N 89 51' 53" E 280-30 feet, more or less to the southeasterly prolongation of the saidCity Boundary Line as per Sunset Harbour Annexation, Ordinance No.800 of said City and the southwesterly line of that certain 2. Res. Ho1597 1.354 acre parcel of land shown on map recorded in Book 7, Page 20 of Record of Surveys, records of said County; thence along said prolongation and along the southwesterly line of sair parcel H 380 06' 22" W_418.61 feet more or less to the point of beginning. 2. That the County Boundary Commission of ©range County, California, did in session duly assembled on May 28th, 1962, approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said "Hunting- ton Harbour Annexation - Parcel #2" , as above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents of said an- nexation of said territory to said City. 3. That July 16th, 1962, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day, in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any per- son owning property within the uninhabited territory above de- scribed and proposed to be annexed to the City of Huntington Beach and having any, objection to the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City of Huntington Beach and show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be so an- nexed to said City of Huntington Beach. Such protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the description and area of such property in general terms. 3. Res.1597 4. The City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resol- ution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the "Huntington Beach News" , a newspaper of general circulation published in said City of Huntington Beach, the city to which it is proposed to annex the afore- said territory, and also in the "Westminster Herald" , a news- paper of general circulation published outside the City of Huntington Beach, but in the County of Orange, California* the County in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Huntington Beach, said publication to be complete at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing. 5. And the said City Clerk is further authorized and directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within theterri- tory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll available on the date the above proceed- ings were initiated, at the addresses shown on said assess- ment roll or as known to said Clerk., and to any person who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands in which he has any interest; either legal or equitable with said Clerk, such notice to be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed an- nexation, 40 Res. No. 1397 6. In the event any land within the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by a county, the said City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County.such notice to be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation. 7. The said City Clerk is directed to cause written no- tiee to be given to such other persons as may be legally en- titled thereto in the manner required by law.
