A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
FIXING THE TAX RATE FOR SAID CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1962 - 1963
WHEREAS, the assessed valuation of the taxable proper-
ty of the City of Huntington Beach, California, as assessed
by the County Assessor and fixed by the County Board of
Equalization of the County of Orange, California, for the fis-
cal year 1962-1963 is $105$3779280,00,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach finds that the amount of money necessary to be raised
by taxation on. property in said City of Huntington Beach as
a revenue for various departments of said City for the current
fiscal year and to pay other indebtedness of the City of
Huntington Beach, is as follows:
1. General Fund $909,783.6o
2. Music and Promotion Fund 152t808.00
3. Library Fund 82076.00
4. Special Recreation Fund 81$200.00
5. Water Bonds-1955 Interest and Re-
demption 530638.00
6# Special Fund for Capital Outlay
Reserve 750000.00

WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 1509 set
Res. No. 1640
the tax rate for the fiscal year 1961-1962 at one hundred
thirty-three cents (1.33) per one hundred dollars ( 100 00)
of assessed value, which rate applies to the unsecured roll
for the fiscal year 1962-1963; and
WHEREAS, assessed value of the unsecured roll for
the fiscal year 1962-1963 as equalized by the Board of Equal-
ization of the County of Orange amounts to a total of
3,504,720.00; and
WHEREAS, the balance necessary to be raised by tax-
ation from the secured roll for the fiscal year 1962-1963 is
1,354,905.00; and
WHEREAS, a tax rate of one hundred thirty three cents
(1.33) upon each one hundred dollars ($100 00) of assessed
value of the property in said City as assessed by the County
Assessor and equalized by the Board of Supervisors sitting
as a Board of Equalization of the County of Orange, is suffic-
ient to raise the said amount of money.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach, California, that the rate
of taxation for said City for the fiscal year 1962-1963
(secured roll for 1962-1963 and unsecured roll for 1963-1964)
he fixed at one hundred thirty three cents (133) upon each
one hundred dollars ($100,00) of assessed value in said City.
The said rate shall be segregated as follows:

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
affirmative vote of more than a majority of all the members
of said City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on
