HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1655 RESOLUTION NO. 1655 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA ORDERING `;A3ORK ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 6202 Iv�fHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California did, on the 4th day of September, 1962, pass and adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 1643 that the streets and rights of way named in said resolut-2"on of intention be improved in the manner described in said resolut_1-on of intention; and WHEREAS , said resolution of -intention was duly and legally published in the time, form and manner as required by law, as shown by the affidavit of publication of saId resolution of intention on file in the office of the Clerk of said City of Huntington Beach; and " HERE.AS , after the adoption of said resolution of intention, notices of the passage thereof, entitled "Notice of Improvement ,"' were duly and le;ally posted :gin the time, form and manner , locat:''on and number, as required by law, as appears from the affidavit of post-J_ng said notices on fi'le in the of"ice of the Clerkk of said City of Hunt`_niton Beach; and `7HEREAS , after the adoption of said resolution of intention, notices of the adoption thereof were duly marled to all persons owning real property proposed to be assessed _1_ Resolution No. 1655 or the improvements described ' in said resolution of in- a I tent'7-on, according to the names and addresses of such owners as the same appear on the last equalized assessment roll for real property taxes prior to ii-he day of such mil ills, or as ',,-:.nown to said City Cler'k, Which said notices were duly mailed -L'n the time , -LEonii and manner as required by law; and ­7HERZA,S , protests or objections in writing or otherw_`�se made by the owners of more than half o the area o.,L- the property to be assessed for said improvements a-a-inst the proposed work and improvement , the extent of the distr-11-ct to be assessed, or the grades to which said wor.�. is proposed to be done have not been made or presented up to the 'hour set for hear-in,-- in and by said resolution of retention , and the City Council of said City of Huntington . Beach having acquired Juri' sd-iction to order sa-,"-d work, and improvement: NOMT, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, in regular session assembled this lst day o'.`_` October , J_962 that the public interest and convenience require the improvements herein referred to., and said City Council hereby orders that the wor]_.,. and improvements, as set forth and described in Resolutlon of Intent-!-on No. 1643 passed and adopted by said City Council on the 4th day of September, 1962, and in the -2- Resolution No. 1655 plans and specifications therein referred to and adopted, be done and made in the manner described in and provided by said resolution of intention and said plans and specifications. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all objections , whether in writing or oral , co the proposed work, the grade to which said worn is to be done or the boundary of the district proposed to be assessed to pay the cost and expenses of said work., be and the same hereby are overruled and denied. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the boundaries of the assessment district and the grades to which said work and improvement are to be constructed shah be those set forth and described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1643 , in the plans and specifications therein referred to, and in the plat or map oL said assessment district therein referred to, reference to which is hereby made for all further particulars i0OPTED AND SIGNED this lst day of October, 1962.
