A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH PROCLAIMING
THURSDAY, JANUARY 101, 19639 AS "ANGEL DAY"
IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH.
WHEREAS, the population of Orange County is now in
excess of 900,000 people and will be by conservative esti-
mate at least 1,750,000 by 1970 and 2,5009000 by 1980; and
WHEREAS, within a radius of 30 miles of the center
of Orange County there are now more than 2,800,000 people
and there will be 4,000,000 by 1970 and 5,5009000 by 1980;
and
WHEREAS, the street, highway and freeway systems now
existing or proposed for early construction in Orange County
do present the highest level of accessibility of any area
In Southern California; and
WHEREAS, the Owners and Management of the Los Angeles
Angels' Baseball Club have evidenced an interest in the po-
tential location of the franchise for the Club in Orange
County at some future date; and
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach wishes to ex-
press its support to the location of the Club within this
County and to offer its co-operation to the ball club in
such a move;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that by these pres-
ents the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
hereby proclaim Thursday, January 10, 1963 as "Angel Day"
in the City of Huntington Beach.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting there-
of held on the 7th day of January, 1963.

I, PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of January,
1963, by the following vote:
