A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF
HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF 61ORK—
MAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION,
SURFACING, AND IMPROVEMENTS OF THE FOLLOWING
HIGHWAYS; BOLSA AVENUE BETrdEEN SPRINGDALE STREET
AND BOLSA CHICA STREET, IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH; BOLSA CHICA STREET FROM RANCHO AVENUE TO
0,32 MILES SOUTH OF BOLSA AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH; AND RANCHO AVENUE BET1ZEN BOLSA
CHICA STREET AND THE UNITED STATES RAILROAD RIGHT
OF MAY, PARTIALLY IN THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER AND
IARTIALLY IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH,
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has
conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general
prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for wor1men needed
in the reconstruction, surfacing, and improvements of the following
highways; Bolsa Avenue between Springdale Street and Bolsa. Chica
Street, in the City of Huntington Beach; Bolsa Chica Street from
Rancho Avenue to 0.32 miles south of Bolsa Avenue, in the City of
Huntington Beach; and Rancho Avenue between Bolsa Chica Street and
the United States Railroad Right of 'ffay, partially in the City of
Westminster and partially in the Cit
y of Huntington on Beach
h and has
considered evidence presented.
NOW THEREFORE, BE_IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the
general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen
needed in the reconstruction, surfacing, and improvements of the
following highways; Bolsa Avenue between Springdale Street and Bolsa
Chica Street, in the City of Huntington Beach; Bolsa Chica Street from
Rancho Avenue to 0.32 miles south of Bolsa Avenue, in the City of

Huntington Beach; and Rancho Avenue between Bolsa. Chica Street and
the United States Railroad Right of Way, Partially in the City of
Westminster and partially in the City of Huntington Beach., and the
general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as
follows:

OVERTIME RATES
CARPENTERS - Time and one-half for all overtime., except Sundays and
holidays, which are double time.
CEMENT IMONS - Time and one-half., except Sundays and holidays which

OPERATING ENGINEERS - Time and one-half., except Sundays and holidays,
which are double time,
IRON WORKERS - Time and one-half., except Sundays and holidays, which
are double time.
LABORERS - Time and one-half., except Sundays and holidays., which are
double time.
TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays,, which are
double time.
"The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in
the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed con-
tract., shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified
for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Plaster
Iabor Agreements." 50

The rates per hour., indicated above are based upon the local
prevailing rates per day being eight tines the above scheduled rate per
hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a
full day or a fractional part of a day. The per them wages of a
fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour
multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for
overtime and/or Sundays or Ie.-al Holidays,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on the
20th _day of May 19630
