A RESOLUTION CF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTABLISHING THE MERAL PREVAILING RATE OF
HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK-
MN OR NECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A WATER YAIN AND APPURTENANCES IN BEACH
BOULEVARD., FROM CLAY AVENUE TO 2501 SOUTH OF
GARFIELD AVENUE., AND IN GARFIELD AVENUE, FROM
2201 EAST OF BEACH BOULEVARD TO 19851 EAST,
ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has
conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general
prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed
in the construction of a water main and appurtenances in Beach
Boulevard and in Garfield Avenue., and has considered evidence presented.
NM THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the
general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen
needed in the construction of a water main and appurtenances in Beach
Boulevard and in Garfield Avenue,, within the City of Huntington Beach and
the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work., is as
follows:

OVERTIME RATES
OPERATING F21GINEERS - Time and one-half for all overtime, except Sundays
and holidays, which are double time.
IA13ORERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time.
TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half except Sundays and holidays, which are

CEMENT MASONS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which
are double time.
PIPEFITTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which
are double time.
The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the
schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract,
shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar
or c anparable duties in the Southern California Master Ia.bor Agreements.
The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre-
vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per
hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a
full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a
fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour

multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for
overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on the
20th day of May 1963.
