A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ENDORSING
THE POSITION OF THE ORANGE COUNTY COAST
ASSOCIATION AND THEIR SPOKESMAN, MR.BEN
REDDICK, AND REAFFIRMING THE PREVIOUS
ENDORSEMENT OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH OF THE RED ROUTE LINE FOR THE PRO-
POSED ROUTE 60 PACIFIC COAST FREEWAY.
WHEREAS, the State of California, Division of High-
ways , have pro-posed three routes for the proposed Pacific
Coast Freeway (Route 60) ; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Coast Association has
recommended that the proposed Route 60 Freeway be aligned in
the general area of the Red Route Line indicated on the Div-
ision of Highways Study Map; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ben Reddick, a Director and officer of
the Orange Co-L,,nty Coast Association, has on behalf of that
association, also recommended that the proposed Red Route
Freeway be aligned in the general area of the Red Route Line
indicated on the Division of Highways Study Map;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach that the City Council of
Huntington Beach unanimously endorses the position of the
Orange County Coast Association and their spokesman, Mr. Ben
Reddick with regard to the proposed Route 60 Freeway and

reaffirm its previous recommendation of the Red Route Line
for the proposed Route 60 Pacific Coast Highway. The City
of Huntington Beach hereby appoints Ben Reddick as a dela-
gate to speak before any State Committee, Legislative Body
or any other organization on its behalf, pertaining to the
subject matter of this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, Callfornia, at a regular meeting held
on the 20tb day of May 1963-

acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote
of more than a majority of all the members of said City
Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20tb day
of May , 1963, by the following vote:
