A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTAMSHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF
HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK--
MAN OR IMCHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION,
.AND SURFACING OF GOTHARD STREET FROM WARNER
AVENUE TO 800 FEET SOUTH OF ED?.MER AVENUE,
DRAINAGE FACILITIES, AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF
A BRIDGE OVER THE ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL
DISTRICT'S FAST GARDEN GROVE WINTERSBURG
CHANNEL IN TIE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH,
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has
conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general
prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed
in the construction, and surfacing of Gothard Street from Warner
Avenue, drainage facilities, and the construction of a Bridge over the
Orange County blood Control District's .past Garden Grove Wintersburg
Channel and has considered evidence presented.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the
general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen
needed in the construction, and surfacing of Gothard Street from Warner
Avenue, drainage facilities, and the construction of a Bridge over the
Orange County Flood Control District's East Garden Grove Wintersburg
Channel, within the City of Huntington Beach and the general prevailing
rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows:

OVERTIME RATES

double time.
CEMENT II&SONS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are
(1-ouble time,
IRON WORMERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time,
ClIRPENTIERS - Time and one-half., except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time,
I'The rate of compensation for anN7- classification not listed in
the schedule., but which may be required to execute the proposed con-
tract., shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified
for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master
Labor Agreements."

Resolution No. 1788
The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local
prevailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per
hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a
full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a
fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour
multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for
overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on the
3 rd day of June 1963.
