HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1795 RESOLUTION NO. 1795 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINCTON BEACH AUTHOR- IZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR PARKS .AND RECREATION FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH. WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has entered into an Agreement with John A. Murdy III for the pro- curement of certain property to be used as a park site for the City; and WHEREAS, through the terms of the agreement with John A. Murdy III, Mr. Murdy donated to the City prop- erty amounting to approximately one-third of the total proposed park site, contingent upon the City acquiring the other two-thirds of said park site through purchase and condemnation if necessary; and WHEREAS, as a matter of expediency the City has accomplished the purchase of their portion of the pro-- posed park site by expending money from the General Fund of the City; and WHEREAS$ the City has a Fund for the Acquisition of Land for Parks and Recreation, from which the pur- chase of this land should be properly charged. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that the sum of $44,730.00 be transferred from the .Acquisition of Land for Parks and Recreation Fund to the General Fund of the City of Huntington Beach in Account No 2995-G 1. Res. No. 1795 for the purpose of reimbursing the General Fund for money paid for land for a proposed park site.
