HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1798 RESOLUTION NO. 17 9 8 A RESOLUTION 01� THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE; OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK— MAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER MAIN AND APPURTENANCES IN BEACH BOULEVARD, FROM TERRY DRIVE TO HEIL AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGT'ON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a gearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly gages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction of a water main and appurtenances in Beach Boulevard, and has considered evidence presented. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction of a water main and appurtenances in Beach Boulevard, within the City of Huntington Beach and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows: Hourly Wage Trade or Occupation: Rate OPERATING ENGINEERS Health & Welfare — 150 per hour Pension Plan — 150 per hour Vacation — 100 per hour CLASSIFICATION Group 1 $ 3.78 Group 2 4.02 Group 3 4.26 1. Resolution No. 1798 Trade or Occupation: PIPEFITTERS - (cont�d) Pension Plan - 2-20 Vacation & Holidays - 7 OVERTIME RATES OPERATING ENGSNIMS - Time and one-half for all overtime, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. I A.B - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. CFMNT MASONS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. PIPEFITTERS - Time and, one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements. The rates per hour, i.ndicated.above are based upon the local pre- vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour* dourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour 4* Resolution No. 1798 multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or regal Holidays.
