HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1804 RESOLUTION No. 1804 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF TWO POLICEMEN AT A COM- PENSATION GREATER THAN THE MINIMUM COM- PENSATION FIXED AND DETERMINED BY ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is in need of additional police personnel; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is to the public interest that additional police personnel be employed at above the minimum compensation; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the educational qualifications and experience of James A.Schlosser and Donald E. Tryon justify a beginning salary in excess of said minimum compensation; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby authorize the em- ployment of James A. Schlosser and Donald E. Tryon as police officers at a beginning salary in excess of the minimum compensation as set forth by ordinance, to-wit: Range 34, Step C. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held on the lst day of July, 1963, A Mayor City C Res. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a major- ity of all the members of said City Council at a regular meet- ing thereof held on the 1st day of July, 1963.
