RESOLUTION NO. 1805
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
TO VACATE A PORTION OF INDIANAPOLIS
AVENUE IN SAID CITY AND GIVING NOTICE OF
HEARING ON SAID VACATION.
WHEREAS., the City of Huntington Beach and the State of California
are planning for the channeli.zation and signalization of Beach Boulevard
and Indianapolis Avenue; and
NHERF.AS., there now exists street right of way which will not serve
the public interest or conform to the proposed intersection design; and
WHEREAS.. the City Council desires to vacate that portion of Indiana—
polis Avenue as hereinafter described:
NOW, THEREFORE., the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, does resolve, determine, find and declare as followsz
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
hereby declare its intention to vacate a portion of Indianapolis Avenue,
within the City of Huntington Beach, described as follows:
That portion of street right of way as shown on a map of Vista Del
Mar Tract, Section 7, recorded in Book 4 on Page 36 of Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California and being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot B, Block 908 of above
named tract; said point lying on a line paraliel with and lying 30,00

feet northerly, measured at right angles., from the South -line of the
northeast one quarter of Section U., Township 6 South, Range 11 West.,
San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence northwesterly., along a tangent
curve,, concave to the northwest., having a radius of 135 feet., 52.29 feet
through an angle of 220-3.11-3010 to a point; said point lying on a line
parallel with and 40.00 feet North., measured at right angles., from the
South line of the northeast one quarter of above mentioned Section 11;
said point also being the True Point of Beginning; thence continuing
northwesterly along last mentioned curve 85,35 feet through an angle of
360-131-1911 to a point, said point being in the west right of way line
of Beach Boulevard., 238 feet in width as now laid out,, and also being
parallel with and 50*00 feet westerly, measured at right angles from
the East line of above mentioned Section 11; thence southerly., along
last described line., 24.29feet to a point of tangency with a curve
concave to the northwest having a radius of 30.00 feet; thence south-
westerly, along said curve., 47olO feet through a central angle of 900,
more or less., to a point of tangency with the north line of the south
40*00 feet of above mentioned Section 11; thence westerly., along last
mentioned line., 34.01 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation., reference is
hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City*
Section 2: That notice is hereby given that the 19th day of August,
1963, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber in the
City Hall, Huntington Beach, California,, is the time and place when and

where a public hearing shall be held upon said resolution of intention
to vacate said above described portion of Indianapolis Avenue., at which
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation,
may be heard.
Section 3: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause
a copy of this resolution of intention to be published in the Huntington
Beach News., a newspaper of general circulation., printed and published in
the City of Huntington Beach, by one insertion prior to the hearing as
set forth in Section 2 hereof.
Section 4: The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach., in
vacating the portion of Indianapolis Avenue, as above described., does
elect to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 19412
Division 9., Part 3., of the Streets and Highway Code of the State of
California.
Section 5: The Street Superintendent is hereby authorized and
directed to post notices of street vacation as required by law*
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Counbil of the City of Huntington
Beach., California., at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of
July, 1963.

I., PAUL C. JONES., the duly elected,, qualified and acting City Clark
of the City of Huntington Beach., and exofficio Clerk of the City Council
of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the
City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is fiv4p; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than
a majority of all the members of said City Council at a regular meeting
thereof held on the . 3$th day of July L 1963, by the following vote:
