HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1826 RESOLUTION No. 1826 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH THANKING ASSEM- BLYMAN JAMES E. WHETMORE FOR SPONSORING AND WORKING FOR THE PASSAGE OF ASSEMBLY BILL No. 1151. WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has a vital in- terest in Assembly Bill No. 1151 which has been signed into law by Governor Brown and pertains to the reimbursement to cities and counties of 1% of the State's share of the revenue of the off-shore oil production in those areas where Califor- nia cities do not own their own tidelands; and WHEREAS, Assemblyman James E. Whetmore, representative from the 70th District sponsored the bill and was interested enough in its passage to work unceasingly and diligently with the various legislators and city officials of the City of Huntington Beach to ultimately cause said bill to be signed by Governor Brown; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach and the people of the City of Huntington Beach wish to thank Assemblyman James E. Whetmore for his fine representation as our State Assemblyman and it is hereby ordered that the City Clerk cause this resolution to be signed by all of the <Gity Councilmen and a duplicate origi- nal thereof forwarded to Assemblyman James E.
