A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH THANKING
SENATOR JOHN A. MURDY, JR. , FOR CO-SPON-
SORING AND WORKING FOR THE PASSAGE OF
ASSEMBLY BILL No. 1151,
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has a vital
Interest in Assembly Bill No. 1151 which has been signed into
law by Governor Brown and pertains to the reimbursement to
cities and counties of 1% of the State's share of the revenue
of the off-shore oil production in those areas where Califor-
nia cities do not own their own tidelands; and
WHEREAS, Senator John A. Murdy, Jr. , Senator of
the 33th Senatorial District of the State of California spon-
sored the bill in the Senate and worked unceasingly and dili-
gently with the various legislators and city officials of the
City of Huntington Beach ultimately causing said bill to be
signed by Governor Brown;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach and the people of the
City of Huntington Beach wish to thank Senator John A. Murdy,
Jr. , for his fine representation in our State Senate, and it
is hereby ordered that the City Clerk cause this resolution
to be signed by all of the City Councilmen and a duplicate
original thereof forwarded to Senator John A. Murdy, Jr.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting
held on the 5th day of August, 1963.

and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and
ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote
of more than a majority of all the members of said City
Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of
August, 1963,
