HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1829 RESOLUTION No. 1829 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH THANKING SENATOR ALVIN C. WEINGAND FOR WORKING FOR THE PASSAGE OF ASSEMBLY BILL NO-1151. WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has a vital interest in Assembly Bill No. 1151 which has been signed Into law by Governor Brown and pertains to the reimbursement to cities and counties of 1% of the Statets share of the revenue of the off-shore oil production in those areas where California cities do not own their own tidelands; and WHEREAS,, Senator Alvin C. Weingand of the 31st Sen- atorial District of the State of California worked unceasing- ly and diligently with the various legislators and city of- ficials of the City of Huntington Beach and ultimately caused said bill to be signed by Governor Brown; NOW9 THEREFORE$ BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach and the people of the City of Huntington Beach wish to thank Senator Alvin C,'w Weingand for his fine representation In our State Senatet and it is hereby ordered that the City Clerk cause this resolution to be signed by all of the Councilmen and a duplicate original 'thereof forwarded to Senator Alvin C.
