A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH THANKING MR.
PAUL WARD, LEGISLATIVE ASSISTANT TO GOVERN-
OR EDMUND G. BROWN, FOR. HIS WORK TOWARD
THE PASSAGE OF ASSEMBLY BILL No. 1151.
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has a vital
interest in Assembly Bill No. 1151 which has been signed
into law by Governor Brown and pertains to the reimbursement
to cities and counties of to of the State's share of the
revenue of the off-shore oil production in those areas where
California cities do not own their own tidelands; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Paul Ward, Legislative Assistant to
Governor Edmund G. Brown, was interested enoug?i in the pass-
age of this Bill to work unceasingly and diligently with the
various legislators and city officials of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach to ultimately cause said bill to be signed by
Governor Brown;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach and the people of the City
of Huntington Beach wish to thank Mr. Paul Ward for his fine
work toward the passage of Assembly Bill No. 1151 and it is
hereby ordered that the City Clerk cause this resolution to
be signed by all of the City Councilmen and an original du-
plicate thereof be forwarded to Mr. Paul Ward.

of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof
held on the jth day of August, 1963.

I, PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and act-
ing City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-of-
ficio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote
of more than a majority of all the members of said City
Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day
of August , 1963.
