HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1833 RESOLUTION No. 1833 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH THANKING MR. PAUL WARD, LEGISLATIVE ASSISTANT TO GOVERN- OR EDMUND G. BROWN, FOR. HIS WORK TOWARD THE PASSAGE OF ASSEMBLY BILL No. 1151. WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has a vital interest in Assembly Bill No. 1151 which has been signed into law by Governor Brown and pertains to the reimbursement to cities and counties of to of the State's share of the revenue of the off-shore oil production in those areas where California cities do not own their own tidelands; and WHEREAS, Mr. Paul Ward, Legislative Assistant to Governor Edmund G. Brown, was interested enoug?i in the pass- age of this Bill to work unceasingly and diligently with the various legislators and city officials of the City of Hunt- ington Beach to ultimately cause said bill to be signed by Governor Brown; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach and the people of the City of Huntington Beach wish to thank Mr. Paul Ward for his fine work toward the passage of Assembly Bill No. 1151 and it is hereby ordered that the City Clerk cause this resolution to be signed by all of the City Councilmen and an original du- plicate thereof be forwarded to Mr. Paul Ward. 1.
