A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
APPOINTMENT OF ONE FULL TIME LIFEGUARD
AT A COMPENSATION GREATER THAN THE MINI-
MUM COMPENSATION FIXED AND DETERMINED BY
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is in need of ad-
ditional lifeguard personnel; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is to
the public interest that additional lifeguard personnel be
employed at above the minimum compensation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the educa-
tional qualifications and experience of Raymond Bray justify
a beginning salary in excess of said minimum compensation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach does hereby authorize the em-
ployment of Raymond Bray as full time lifeguard at a beginning
salary in excess of the minimum compensation as set forth by
ordinance, to-Wit: Range 34, Step C.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held on the 19th day of
August, 1963.

City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officia Clerk
of the City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the
whole number of members of the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing resolution was
passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a
majority of all the members of said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 1199thh day of August, 1963•
