A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH THANKING
CONGRESSMAN RICHARD T. HANNA FOR HIS
WORK TOWARD THE PASSAGE OF ASSEMBLY
BILL No. 1151.
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has a vital inter-
est in Assembly Bill No. 1151 which has been signed into law
by Governor Brown and pertains to the reimbursement to cities
and counties of 1% of the State's share of the revenue of the
off-shore oil production in those areas where California
cities do not own their own tidelands; and
WHEREAS, Congressman Richard. T. Hanna worked unceasingly
and diligently with the various legislators and city officials
of the City of Huntington Beach and ultimately caused said
bill to be signed by Governor Brown;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach and the people of the City of
Huntington Beach wish to thank Congressman Richard T. Hanna
for his fine representation in the Congress of the United
States and for his excellent work in behalf of the passage
of this bill at our State Capitol, and it is hereby ordered
that the City Clerk cause this resolution to be signed by all
of the City Councilmen and a duplicate original thereof for-
warded to Congressman Richard T. Hanna.

I, PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and
ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do here-
by certify that the whole number of members of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the
foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirma-
tive vote of more than a majority of all the members of
said City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the
19th day of August, 1963.
