A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING
THE APPOINTMENT OF GEORGE T. ALLEMAN AS
MECHANIC III AT A COMPENSATION GREATER
THAN THE MINIMUM COMPENSATION FIXED AND
DETERMINED BY ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City
of Huntington Beach is in need of additional personnel; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
to the best interest that such additional personnel be em-
ployed by the Department of Public Works, as Mechanic III,
at above the minimum compensation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
educational qualifications and experience of George T.
Alleman justifies a beginning salary in excess of said min-
imum compensation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby authorize the
employment of George T. Alleman as Mechanic III at a beginn-
ing salary in excess of the minimum compensation as set
forth by ordinance, to-wit: Range 36, Step C.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held on the 3rd
day of September, 1963. r

I, PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and act-
ing City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-offic-
io Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby certify
that the whole number of members of the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing resolu-
tion was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more
than a majority of all the members of said City Council at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of September
1g63.
