A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
APPOINTMENT OF ROGER GIDNEY AS METER
REPAIRMAN AT A COMPENSATION GREATER THAN
THE MINIMUM COMPENSATION FIXED AND DE-
TERMINED BY ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the Police Department of the City of, unt-
ington Beach is in need of additional personnel; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
to the best interest that such additional personnel be employ-
ed by the Police Department as Mechanic III, at above the min-
imum compensation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
educational qualifications and experience of Roger Gidney
justifies a beginning salary in excess of said minimum com-
pensation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby authorize the em—
ployment of Roger Gidney as Meter Repairman at a beginning
salary in excess of the minimum compensation as set forth by
ordinance, to-wit: Range 35, Step B.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held on the 3rd day
of September, 1963.

tion was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more
than a majority of all the members of said City Council at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of September91963.
