HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1856 RESOLUTION NO. 1856 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK- MAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE HARRY A. OVERMYER MEMORIAL MUNICIPAL RESERVOIR, UNIT NO. 2, IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has con- ducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the con- struction of the Harry A. Overmyer Memorial Municipal Reservoir, Unit No. 2, and has considered evidence presented. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the general prevailing rate of hourly gages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction of the Harry A. Overmyer Memorial Municipal Reservoir, Unit No. 2, within the City of Huntington Beach and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows: Hourly Wage Trade or Occupation Rate: OPERATING ENGINEERS Health & Welfare - 150 per hour Pension Plan - 150 per hour Vacation - 250 per hour CLASSIFICATION Group 1 3.78 Group 2 4.02 Group 3 4.26 Group 4 4.37 1. LABORERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. CANT MASONS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. IRON WORKERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. ELECTRICIAN - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. PAINTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. PIPE TRADES - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. "The rate of an compensation for classification not listed in the P Y schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements". 5. Resolution No. 1856 The rates per hour, indicated above, are based upon the local pre- vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
