A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING A
LETTER OF SYMPATHY BE SENT TO MRS. JACQUE-
LINE KENNEDY, WIDOW OF THE LATE JOHN F.
KENNEDY, LATE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, that the following letter be
forwarded to Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy, widow of the late
John F. Kennedy, President of the United States.

Dear Mrs. Kennedy:
Since the tragic death of our martyred Pres-
ident, the people of the City of Huntington Beach
have been deeply grieved by your great loss and
wish to express to you their deepest sympathy.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City

Is PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the day of
December 1963-
