OF BOLSA CHI CA STREET.
.{ the City of Huntington Beach desires to
i-mprove Lolsa Chica Street from. 660t+ South of Edinger
.venue to 1400t+ South of Edinger Avenue, and.
1,,1lEREAS, Bolsa Chica Street is an important artery
in the County of Orange and of general County interest,
and
1-j-HEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9,
Division 2 of the Streets and Highways Code authorizes
a -County, if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned
to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for
aid to any City in the improvement, construction or
repair of a street within a City, and
V1HEMIS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by
appropriate action, provide in the County budget of
the Special .load Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year
1964-65 a sum of money for the improvement of streets
within the incorporated cities of the County in accor-
dance with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing
:Program.
NOW THE EF OPE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of
the City of Huntington Beach hereby requests the Board
of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to
Resolution h'o. 1890
said City from County _'.�unds the amount of ,�27.,000.00$
said amount to be matched by funds from said City to
be used to aid said City in the improvement of Bolsa
Chica Street from 660t+ South of Edinger Avenue to
14001+ South of Edinger Avenue, and for the acquisition
of necessary rights of way; said improvements and
acquisition of rights of way to be in accordance with
the attached project statement;
BE IT FURMIER RESOLVE27 that the Board of Super-
visors of the County of Orange is hereby requested to
find that said work and acquisition of rights of way
on Bolsa Chica Street, in the manner ppovidedo is in
the general County interest,
BE IT 11-PURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution,
the City of Huntington Beach agrees with the basic
concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program;
and further agrees that its share of the cost of improve-
rients and rights of way will be available for the fiscal
year 1964-65-
