WHEREAS, the extension of Harriman Street easterly of Gothard Street would intersect the Pacific Electric Railroad at a point of no foreseeable crossing; and WHEREAS, Harriman Street easterly of Gothard Street is not on the Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and WHE4.RE'AS, the City Council desires to vacate that portion of Harriman Street as hereinafter described: NOW, THLEiEFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, does resolve, determine, find and declare as follows: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby declare its intention to vacate a portion of Harriman Street, within the City of Huntington Beach, described as follows ** That portion of Harriman Street as shoum on a map of Tract Number 445, Recorded in Book 17, on/page 7 of hliscellaneous, Taps, Records of Orange County, California; said portion being fore particularly described as follows: A strip of land, 40 feet in width, 275 feet in length, being bounded on the west by the southerly prolongation of the west line of Lot 36, Block A, Tract 445, and by the northerly Resolution No. 1895 prolongation of the west line of Lot 66, Block A, Tract 445; and being bounded on the east by the west right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad, as shown on above mentioned map* For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, reference is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Cler-'K, of said City. Section 2: That notice is hereby given that the 20th day of January, 1964, at the hour of 6:00 o'cloch- P.1'1# in the Council C-n' ai-tiber in the City Hall, Huntington Beach, Cai-ifornia, is the time and place when and where a public hearing shall be held upon said resolution of intention to vacate said. above described portion of Harriman Street, at which hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation may be heard, Section 3 : The City Clerl� is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution of intention to U be published in the Elluntington Beach News, a 'newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of H untington Beach, by one insertion prior to the hearing as set forth in Section 2 hereof. Section 4.* The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, in vacating the portion of Harriman Street, as above described, does elect to proceed under the provision of the Streets and rfighways Code Section 8320 etc. , of the State of California. 2 Resolution No. Section 5: The Street Superintendent is hereby author- ized and directed to post notices of street vacation as required by law.
