RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, . CALIFORNIA. PROPOSING
TO MAKE CERTAIN CHANGES IN WORK TO BE DONE
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 6301
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California did, on the 5th day of August, 1963, pass
and adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 1812 that the
streets named and described in said resolution of intention
be improved in the manner described therein; and
WHEREAS , said City Council, after acquiring juris-
diction to order the work described in said resolution of
intention, upon conclusion of a public hearing upon said
resolution of intention duly called and held in the time,
form and manner as required by law, did, on the 3rd day of
September, 1963, award the contract for the doing of said
work to ZAVAS & SONS; and
WHEREAS, said City Council has expressed its
intention to make changes in the work proposed to be done
and said contractor will consent thereto; and
WHEREAS , said change in the work will increase the
estimated cost of the work to be done in the amount of
$4,000.00, which amount is less than ten (100%) percent of
the amount of the bid of said contractor:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach, California, in regular session

assembled this 6th day of January, 1964, that said City Council
proposes to make the following changes in the work proposed to
be done:
That the specifications for the doing of said
work be amended to provide that all ditches
dug in Beach Boulevard be backfi.11ed with
sand backfill for a depth of four (4) feet
from street level and with existing dirt below
said four foot level.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Monday, the 20th day of
January, 1964, at the hour of 8: 00 o'clock P.M. of said day
in the council chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Huntington Beach, California is hereby fixed as the day and
the hour and the meeting place of said City Council when and
where any and all persons having any objections to the changes
proposed as aforesaid may appear before said City Council and
show cause why said proposed changes should not be ordered.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said
city shall give notice of the passage of this resolution and
of the time and place of the public hearing thereon, by publish-
ing this resolution once in the HUNTINGTON BEACH NEWS at least
ten days prior to the date herein fixed for the hearing upon
this resolution.
ADOPTED this 6th day of January, 1964.

I. PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said city, do hereby certify
that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing resolution was
passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a
majority of all the members of said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 6th day of January, 1964, by the
following vote:
