A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTABLISIUNG THE. GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF
HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF.IVORK-
MAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE RELOCATION OF A
WATER MAIN AND APPURTENANCES IN SUGAR. (mc FADDEN)
AVENUE AT THE SAN DIEGO FREEWAY CROSSING, Au.IN
THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WIEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has
conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general
prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed
in the construction of a water main and appurtenances in Sugar (McFadden)
Avenue at the San Diego Freeway Crossing, and has considered evidence
presented.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the
general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen
needed in the relocation of a water main and appurtenances in Sugar
(McFadden) Avenue at the San Diego Freeway Crossing, within the City of
Huntington Beach and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and
overtime work, is as follows:

in Section 1773.1 of the Labor Code. 2,70
Overtime., Sundays and Holidays - not less than one and one-half
(1-1/2) times the basic hourly rate plus applicable employer payments.
The holidays upon which such rates shall be paid shall be all holidays re-
co_pnized in the collective barc,_,aininr- ap-reement applicable to the -particular
craft classification or type of workmen employed on the project.
Apprentices may be employed in conformity with Section 1777.5 of the
California labor Code. Every such apprentice shall be paid the standard
Waage paid to apprentices under the re-ulations of the trade at which he
is employed. Information relative to employment of apprentices shall be
obtained from the D-J.rector of the 'Department Of Industrial Relations who,
is the Administrative Officer of the California Apprenticeship Council.

The f oreSoinS schedule of -wages is based upon a working day of eiSht (8)
hours.
It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded,
and upon any sub-contractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified
rates to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics employed by them in the
execution of the contract.
