A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH GIVING NOTICE
OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
.UUNTINGTON BEACH OF THAT CERTAIN UNIN-
HABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND �
DESIGNATED AS "SUNSET BEACH #2 ANNEXATION
AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH:
Section 1. That pursuant to the provisions of the
"Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939" 3, a petit-
ion was signed by owners of not less than one-fourth of the
land in the hereinafter described territory by area and by
assessed value as shown on the last equalized assessment
roll of the County of Orange, was filed with the Council of
the City of Huntington Beach on March 16 , 1964, requesting
annexation of the hereinafter described territory to said
City; that said territory which said petitioners request be
annexed to the City of Huntington Beach and which said City
and its Coup-ell propose to annex to the City of Huntington
Beach is situate in the County of Orange, State of California,
hereby designated,
"SUNSET BEACH #2 ANNEXATION"
is described as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of the Southwesterly
boundary line of the present city boundary of the city
of Seal Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
said boundary having been established by Seal Beach An-
nexation No. 7 in ordinance No. 589 of said city, said
Southwesterly boundary line being also the Northeaster-
ly line of Tide Land Location No.141, recorded in book
1, page 194 of patents of said Orange County, with the
Northwesterly boundary line of the present city boundary
of the city of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State
of California, said boundary having been established
by Sunset Beach No. 1 Annexation in ordinance No.993 of
said city, said point being N 44015'00" W. 77.58 feet
more or less from the Southeasterly terminus of that
certain course in said Southwesterly boundary line of
Seal Beach Annexation No-7 as having a bearing and dis-
tance of S 440 15' 00" E 495.00 feet more or less,thence
S 460 32' 00" W along said Northwesterly boundary line
of Sunset Beach No. 1 Annexation 208.25 feet more or
less to an angle point in said Northwesterly boundary
line, said point also being the most Westerly corner of
the land described in the Quitclaim Deed to Sam Arvanitis
and George Arvanitis recorded January 20, 1953, in book
2439, page 488 of official records, said point also be-
ing a point on the Southwesterly line of said Tide Land
Location No. 141, thence N 53 00' 00" W along said
Northwesterly boundary line and said Southwesterly line
of Tide Land Location No. 141, a distance of 101.48
feet more or less to an angle point in said Northwester-
ly boundaryline, thence leaving said Northwesterly bound-
ary line of Sunset Beach No.l Annexation along said
Southwesterly line of Tide Land Location No.141 the fol-
lowing bearings and distances N 53000' 00" W 67.11 feet
more or less, thence N 340 00'00" W 330.00 feet more or
less, thenc8 N 49 00' 00" W 198.00 feet more or less,
thence N 58 00' 00" W 367.43 feet more or less to the
most Easterly corner of the land described in the deed
to Lincoln Fidelity Corporation recorded Dec 39 1963 in
book 6826, page 518 of official records, thence leaving
said Southwesterly line of Tide Land Location No.141,
S 460 32' 00" W along the Southeasterly line of said land
of Lincoln Fidelity Corporation 50.80 feet more or less
to the most Southerly corner of said land of Lincoln Fi-
delity Corporation, said Southerly corner being on the
Northeasterly line of the California State Highway as
shown on a map filed in book 14, page 36 of Records of
Survey, in the office of t e county recorder of said
Orange County, thence N 43 28' 00" W along the Southwest-
erly line of said land of Lincoln Fidelity Corporation
said Southwesterly line being also the Northeasterly line
of said California State Highway 95.07 feet to a tangent
curve concaved Southwesterly and having a radius of

5832.60 feet, thence Northwesterly along said curve
through a central angle of 1 03' 27" an are dis-
tance of 104.72 feet more or less to its intersect-
ion with said Southwesterly line of Tide Land Loca-
tion No.141, said point being the most Northerly
corner of said land of Lincoln Fidelity Corporation,
thence S 580 00, 00" E. along the Northeasterly line
of said land of Lincoln Fidelity Corporation, said
Northeasterly line being the Southwesterly line of
Tide Land Location No.lµl, a distance of 5.0.39 feet
more or less to a non tangent curve concaved South-
westerly and having a radius of 5844.69 feet, a
radial line from said point bears S 45 57' 23" W-
(S. 450 57f, 38" W. Record of Survey Book 14, Page 36,
Records of said Orange County) , said curve being the
Northeasterly line of California State Highway (U.S.
101) 9 100.00 feet wide, as described in Book 325,
Page 199 of Official Records of said County Recorder;
thence Northwesterly along the are of said 5844.6o
foot radius curve through a central angle of 1028145"
a distance of 150.89 .feet more or less to an inter-
section with the Southeasterly line of the California
State Highway (U.S.101) as described in Deed recorded
August 12, 1947, in Book 1537, Page 319, Official
Records of said County Recorder; thence N 46032' 00"
E along said Southeasterly line, 53.76 feet more or
less thence S 430 28' 07" E 90.00 feet more or less,
thence N 460 32' 00" E 139.25 feet more or less to
said Southwesterly boundary line of Seal Beach Annex-
ation No. 7 said Southwesterly boundary line also
beinngg said Northeasterly lineoof Tide Land Location
No.i41, said point being S 52 45' 00" E 219.01 feet
more or less from the Northwesterly terminus of that
certain course in said Southwesterly boundary line of
Seal Beach Annex$tion No-7 as having a bearing and
distance of S 52 45' 00" E 1069.20 feet more or less
thence along said Southwesterly boundary line and
Northeasterly line of said Tide Land Location No.141
the following bearings and distances, S 520 45' 00"
E 850.25 feet more or less, thence S 440 15' 00" E
495.00 feet more or less to the point of beginning.

Section 2. That the County Boundary Commission of
Orange County, California, did in session duly assembled on
February 10 , 1964, approve the proposed annexation of the
boundaries of said "Sunset Beach #2 Annexation" as above de-
scribed and as submitted to said commission by the proponents
of said annexation of said territory to said City.
Section 3. That the local Agency Formation Commission
of Orange County as established by the State Legislature dur-
ing the 1963 session, did in session duly assembled on March
lit 1964, hold a public hearing on said Sunset Beach #2 Annex-
ation and after hearing any and all parties who were for or
against such annexation, did approve such annexation as sub-
mitted to said Commission by the proponents.
Section 4. That April 20 , 1964, at the hour of 8:00
o'clock P.M. of said day, in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange,
California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and
where any person owning property within the uninhabited terr-
itory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City
of Huntington Beach and having any objection to the proposed
annexation may appear before the Council of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach and show cause why such uninhabited territory
should not be so annexed to said City of Huntington Beach.
Such protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time be-
fore the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed an-

nexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or
owners of property affected and the description and area of
such property in general terms.
Section. 5. The City Clerk of the City of Hunting-
ton Beach is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy
of this resolution to be published at least twice, but not
oftener than once a week, in the "Huntington Beach News", a
newspaper of general circulation published in said City of
Huntington Beach, the City to which it is proposed to annex
the aforesaid territory, and also in the "Westminster Herald",
a newspaper of general circulation published outside the
City of Huntington Beach, but in the County of Orange, Calif-
ornia, the County in which is located the territory proposed
to be annexed to the City of Huntington Beach, said publica-
tion to be complete at least twenty (20) days prior to the
date set for hearing.
Section 6. And the said City Clerk is further auth-
orized and directed to cause written notice of such proposed
annexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within
the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last
equalized county assessment roll available on the date the
above proceedings were initiated, at the addresses shown on
said assessment roll or as known to said Clerk, and to any
person who has filed his name and address and the designation

of the lands in which he has any interest; either legal or
equitable with said Clerk, such notice to be given not less
than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on
the proposed annexation.
Section 7. In the event any land within the terri-
tory proposed to be annexed is owned by a county, the said
City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such pro-
posed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors
of such County, such notice to be given not less than twenty
(20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed
annexation.
Section 8. The said City Clerk is directed to cause
written notice to be given to such other persons as may be
legally entitled thereto in the manner required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 16th day of lurch , 1964.
