HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1941 RESOLUTION NO. 1941 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK— MAN OR I�ECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A TRUNK WATER MAIN AND APPURTENANCES IN HUNTINGTON AVENUE FROM CLAY STREET TO YORK— TOWN AVENUE, IN YOR OVNI AVENUE FROM HUNTINGTON AVENUE TO BROOKHURST STREET, IN BROOKHURST STREET FROM YORKTOWN AVENUE TO ADAMS AVENUE, AND IN ADAP1B AVENUE FROM BROOK— HURST STREET TO THE SANTA ANA RIVER, ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH; CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevail— ing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the installation of a ,trunk water main and appurtenances in Huntington Avenue from Clay Street to Yorktown Avenue, in Yorktown .Avenue from Huntington Avenue to Brookhurst Street, in Brookhurst Street from Yorktown Avenue to Adams Avenue, and in Adams Avenue from Brookhurst Street to the Santa Ana River, and has considered evidence presented. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the installation of a trunk water main and appurtenances in Huntington Avenue from Clay Street to Yorktown Avenue, Yorktown Avenue from Huntington Avenue to Brookhurst Street, in Brookhurst Street from Yorktown .-Avenue to Adams Avenue, and in Adams Avenue from Brookhurst Street to the Santa Ana River, within the City of Huntington Beach and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work, and the . general prevailing rate of health and welfare, vacation, pension or other fringe benefits, as as follows:. 1 Resolution No. 1941 Hourly Wage Trade or Occupation: Rate:. A minimum rate of double time shall be paid for all Sunday or Holiday work. The rates shall in no event be in conflict with the schedules of the current Southern California Master Labor Agreements. The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements. The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre- vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day.
