HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1960 RESOLUTION No. 1960 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE MASTER PLAN OF ARTERIAL STREETS AND HIGHWAYS BY CHANGING THE CLASS- IFICATION OF HAMILTON AVENUE FROM A SECOND- ARY TO A PRIMARY HIGHWAY. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the City heretofore adopted a Master Plan for Streets and Highways; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, California, has held one public hearing in compliance with the State Government Code in order to con- sider and review Zone Case No. 432; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, on the basis of existing and anticipated land use and traffic conditions has determined that the present Master Plan of Arterial Streets and Highways which was amended by the City Council on June 69 1960 and again on November 4, 1963, will not be sufficient to provide for adequate traffic circulation that will be generated within and adjacent to the city in the near future; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that the classification of Hamilton Avenue should be changed from a Secondary to a Primary Highway within the City, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: Section 1.
