SANDRA LEE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 6302
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, Calif-
ornia, in regular session assembled this 15th day of June , 1964,
does hereby resolve and determine as follows:
SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience
require , and that it is the intention of said City Council to
order the following acquisition of property for public use and
work to be done or improvements to be made in said City of
Huntington Beach, California , to wit:

A. The acquisition of the following described easeumats
and rights of way situated in the City of Huntington Beach, State of
California:
PARCEL 1: That 25 foot strip of land, (shown as Private
Road, on a map of Tract No. 349 recorded in Book 15 , Page 17 of
Miscellaneous Maps , Records of Orange County, California; said strip
of land lying Easterly of and adjoining Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 of
Block K of said tract, and lying between the Easterly prolongation
of the North line of Lot 10 and the Easterly prolongation of the
South line of Lot 2. Said right of way shall hereafter in this
improvement district proceeding be referred to as Sandra Lee Street.
PARCEL 2: That 30 foot strip of land ( shown as Private
Road, on a map of Tract No. 349 recorded in Book 15 , Page 17 of
Miscellaneous Maps , Records of Orange County, California) ; said
strip of land lying Southerly of and adjoining Lots 1 and 2 of Block
K of said tract and lying between the Southerly prolongation of the
West line of Lot 1 and the Southerly prolongation of the East line of
Parcel 1 above. Said right of way shall hereafter in this improve-
ment district proceeding be referred to as Orion Street.
PARCEL� 3: That 25 foot strip of land, (shown as Private
Road, on a map of Tract No. 475 recorded in Baok 17 , Page 19 of
Miscellaneous Maps , Records of Orange County, California) ; said
strip of land lying Easterly of and adjoining Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10,
12, 14, 16 , 18, and 20 of Block L of said tract and lying between
the Easterly prolongation of the North line of Lot 20 and the East-
erly prolongation of the South line of Lot 2. Said right of way
shall hereafter in this improvement district proceeding be referred
to as Sandra Lee Street.
PARCEL 4: That 30 foot strip of land (shown as Private
Road, on a map of Tract No. 475 recorded in Book 17, Page 19 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California) ; said
strip of land lying Northerly of and adjoining Lots 19 and 20 of
Block L of said Tract, and lying between the Northerly prolongation
of the West line of Lot 19 and the Northerly prolongation of the
East line of Parcel 3 above . Said right of way shall hereafter in
this improvement district proceeding be referred to as Orion Street.
PARCEL 5: The following described easement for public
utility and drainage purposes:
The East 20.00 feet of the North 165.00 feet of Lot 1, Block 17 ,
Tract No. 86, in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange ,
State of California, per reap recorded in Book '10, Page 35 of
Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of the
County of Orange , State of California.

PARCEL 6: That portion of the North 332.22 feet of Lot 1,
Block 17 , Tract No. 86, as shown by map recorded in Book 10 of Maps
at Page 35 of Miscellaneous Maps , Records of Orange County, Calif-
ornia, together with those portions of Lots 2, 4, 69 8, and 10, of
Block K, Tract No. 349, as shown on a map recorded in Book 15 , Page
17 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, in-
cluded in the below described parcel of land:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 17 , Tract No. 86 ,
as shown on a map recorded in Book 10, Page 35 of Miscellaneous Maps ,
Records of said Orange County; thence South 0' 43' 38" East 160.00
feet along the East line of said Lot 1 to the true point of beginning
thence continuing along said East line South 0' 43' 38" East 472.22
feet to the Southeast corner of said Lot 1; thence South 89' 41'
00" West 310.05 feet along the South line of said Lot 1 to the South-
west corner of said Lot 1; thence North 0' 43' 30" West, 30.00 feet
along the West line of said Lot 1 to an intersection with a line
parallel with and distant 30.00 feet Northerly from the South line
of said Lot 1; thence North 89° 41' 00" East 259.91 feet along
said parallel line to the beginning of a tangent curve , concave
Northwesterly, and having a radius of 20.00 feet; thence North-
easterly 31.56 feet along said curve through a central angle of 90°
24' 38" to a tangent line parallel with and distant 30.00 feet
Westerly from the East line of said Lot 1; thence North 0° 43' 38"
West 312.08 feet along said line to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave Southwesterly, and having a radius of 50.00 feet; thence.
Northwesterly 32.18 feet along said curve through a central angle
of 36' 52' 12" to a point of reverse curvature with a curve, concave
Easterly, Southeasterly, and Southerly, and having a radius of 50.00
feet; thence Northeasterly 110.71 feet along said curve through a
central angle of 126' 52' 12" to the true point of beginning. Said
right of way shall hereafter in this improvement district proceeding
be referred to as Sandra Lee Street.
PARCEL 7: Those portions of Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14,
16 , 18, and 20 of Block L Tract No. 475, as shown on a map recorded
in Book 17 , Page 19 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California , included in the below described three parcels.
Said right of way shall hereafter in this improvement district pro-
ceeding be referred to as Sandra Lee Street.
PARCEL 7A: The East 30.00 feet of Lot 3, Block 17 , Tract
No. 86, as recorded in Book 10, Pages 35 and 36 of Miscellaneous Maps
Records of Orange County, California. Said right of way shall
hereafter in this improvement district proceeding be referred to
as Sandra Lee Street.
PARCEL 7B: That portion of Lot 20, of above Tract No. 475
lying Northeasterly of a curve , concave to the Southwest, having a
radius of 20.00 feet, a central angle of 89' 35' 22", being tangent
to the North line of said Lot 20 and also being tangent to the West
line of Parcel 7A above. Said right of way shall hereafter in this
improvement district proceeding be referred to as Sandra Lee Street.

PARCEL 7C: That portion of Lot 2, of above Tract No. 475 ,
lying Southeasterly of a curve , concave to the Northwest, having a
radius of 20.00 feet, a central angle of 90' 26' 08" being tangent
to the South line of Lot 2, and also being tangent to the West line
of Parcel 7A above. Said right of way shall hereafter in this im-
provement district proceeding be referred to as Sandra Lee Street.
PARCEL 8: The South 30.00 feet, together with the [Nest
30.00 feet of the Southwest one quarter (Sty 114) of the Northwest
one quarter (WT 1/4) of the Northeast one quarter (NE 1/4) of
Section 29, Township 5 South, Range 11 [hest, San Bernardino Base and
Meridian, Orange County, California; together with those portions
of Lots 1, 2, 3, 51 7 , 9, 11, 13, 15 , 17 , and 19 of Block L Tract
No. 475 as recorded in Book 17 , Page 19 of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California, included in the above described
30.00 foot strips of land. Said right of way shall hereafter in
this improvement district proceeding be referred to as Los Patos
Avenue and Marina View Street.
PARCEL 8A: That portion of Lot 1, of above Tract No. 475,
lying Southwesterly of a curve, concave to the Northeast, having a
radiue of 20.00 feet, a central angle of 89° 341 00", being tangent
to the East and North lines of Parcel 8 above . Said right of way
shall hereafter in this improvement district proceeding be referred
to as Los Patos Avenue and Marina View Street .
B. The construction and installation of the following
described work and improvements, together with appurtenances and
appurtenant work:
IN BOTH S IDES OF ORION STREET, AS FOLLOWS:
1 , An eight inch vitrified clay pipe sewer system with
four inch vitrified clay pipe sewer laterals, manholes, and in-
cluding trenching and backfilling in Orion Street from a manhole
with a stubout facing East to be constructed in the common inter-
section of Sandra Lee Street and Orion Street five feet West of the
center line of Sandra Lee Street to a manhole with an eight inch
stubout facing Southwest to be constructed in Orion Street 250 feet
West thereof.
2. A six inch transite domestic water main with stubouts
and 2 inch domestic water laterals from a point in the common inter-
section of Sandra Lee and Orion Streets ten feet West of the center
line of Sandra Lee Street to a 2 inch blow off valve to be con-
structed in Orion Street 245 feet West thereof.
3. Concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks, and asphaltic
concrete pavement over aggregate rock base in Orion Street from its
intersection with the Westerly right of way line of Sandra Lee
Street to a street barricade to be constructed in Orion Street 225
feet Vest thereof.

IN THE WESTERLY ONE-HALF OF SANDRA LEE STREET, AS FOLLOWS:
1. An eight inch vitrified clay pipe sewer system with
four inch vitrified clay pipe sewer laterals , manholes , and in-
cluding trenching and backfilling, from a manhole with East, West,
and South stubouts to be constructed in the common intersection of
Sandra Lee Street and Los Patos Avenue , five feet North of the center
line of Los Patos Avenue to a manhole to be constructed in the common
intersection of Sandra Lee Street and Warner Avenue 20 feet South
of the center line of Warner Avenue .
2. An eight inch transite domestic water main with stub-
outs and 2 inch domestic water laterals, from a point in the common
intersection of Los Patos Avenue and Sandra Lee Street 15 feet
North of the center line of Los Patos Avenue to an existing domestic
water main in the common intersection of Sandra Lee Street and
Warner Avenue 13 feet North of the center line of Warner Avenue .
3. Concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks, and asphaltic
concrete pavement over aggregate rock base from the intersection of
Sandra Lee Street with the Northerly right of way line of Los Patos
Avenue to the Northerly edge of a cul de sac to be constructed in
Sandra Lee Street 1125 feet North thereof.
4. Two fire hydrants, one 45 feet North of the center
line of Orion Street, and one 45 feet North of the center line of
Los Patos Avenue .
5 . A box culvert drainage structure with an asphaltic
concrete drainage channel, from a point 195 feet South of the center
line of Warner Avenue to a point 92 feet South of said center line ,
said improvement also extending through the right of way described
as Parcel 5 in Section A hereof.
6. Street signs , one at the Southwest corner of the
intersection of Sandra Lee and Orion Streets , and one at the North-
west corner of the intersection of Sandra Lee Street and Los Patos
Avenue.
7 . Concrete driveway approaches between points 185 feet
and 210 feet North of the center line of Los Patos Avenue , and be-
tween points 272 feet and 296 feet North of the center line of
Orion Street.
IN THE NORTH ONE-HALF OF LOS PATOS AVENUE, AS FOLLOWS:
1. A 12 inch transite domestic water main with stubouts
from an existing 16 inch domestic water main located in the common
intersection of Marina View Street and Los Patos Avenue 20 feet
West of the center line of Marina View Street to a point in the
common intersection of Marina View Street and Sandra Lee Street 15
feet Nest of the center line of Sandra Lee Street.

IN MARINA VIER? 9TTREET, AS ItOLL609-:
1. An eight inch vitrified clay pipe sewer with four
inch vitrified clay pipe sewer laterals, manholes , and including
trenching, baekfilling and pavement replacement, from a standard
manhole with an eight inch stubout facing South to be constructed
in Marina View Street 55 feet North of the center line of Los
Patos Avenue to a drop manhole to be constructed in Marina View
Street 27.5 feet North thereof; thence Westerly in Marina View
Street 20 feet to a standard manhole to be constructed in an exist-
ing 15 inch vitrified clay pipe sewer main; also Northerly from
said drop manhole 135 feet to a cleanout to be constructed in
Marina View Street.
2, A six inch transite domestic water main and 2 inch
domestic water laterals , from a point in the common intersection
of Los Patos Avenue and Marina View Street 15 feet North of the
center line of Los Patos Avenue to a 2 inch blow off valve to be
constructed in Marina View Street 465 feet North thereof.
INSTALLATION OF VATER METERS, AS FOLLMIS:
To serve Lot 10, Block K of Tract No. 349, and Lots 6 and
7 , Block L of Tract No. 475 in said City of Huntington Beach, as
shown upon the assessment diagram on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City of Huntington Beach.

SECTION 2; All of the above mentioned acquisition of pro-
perty and work, including the grade to which said work shall be done
and the location thereof in and upon the streets and rights of way
above mentioned, shall be done upon the grades , along the lines ,
between the points, of the dimensions, at the places and in the
manner described and set forth in the plans , profiles and detailed
drawings of said work, and to specifications for said work hereto-
fore adopted by said City Council on June 15 , 1964 by its Resolu-
tion No. 1985 , which plans , profiles , detailed drawings
and specifications are on file in the office of the City Clerk of
said City of Huntington Beach, and which are hereby referred to
for a more particular description of said work, grade of said work,
and location of said work in and along the streets and rights of
way hereinbefore mentioned; and which plans, profiles , detailed
drawings and specifications are hereby incorporated herein and
made part hereof by reference as though set forth fully herein.
SECTION 3; That said contemplated work and improvements ,
in the opinion of said City Council, is of more than local or
ordinary public benefit, and that the expenses and cost of said
acquisition of land, work and improvements shall be chargeable upon
a district, which said district said City Council hereby declares
to be the district benefited by the work and improvements herein
described and to be assessed to pay the cost and expenses thereof;
said district shall include that territory in said City of
Huntington Beach, California which is shown upon that certain

plat or map thereof on file in the office of the City Clerk of
said City of Huntington Beach, entitled "SANDRA LEE IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 63022 and which said map or
plat indicates by a boundary line the extent of the territory
included in the proposed district and covers all details as to
the extent of the area to be assessed; said map or plat is
hereby incorporated herein and made a part hereof by reference as
though set forth fully herein.
SECTION 4: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that serial bonds
shall be issued in the manner and form provided in Part 5 ,
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, the Improvement Act of 1911, to represent unpaid
assessments of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or over , which said bonds
shall bear interest at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum
and the last installment of which bonds shall mature nine (9)
years from the second day of January next succeeding the first
day of September following their date .
SECTION 5: NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that on
Monday, the 3rd day of August , 1964, at the hour of 8:05 o'clock
P.M. of said day, in the council chambers of said City Council,
City Hall, Huntington Beach, California, the meeting place of
said City Council, any and all persons having any objections to
the proposed acquisition of land for public use , work or improve-
ments , or any objections to the grades to which said work is to
be done , or any objections to the boundaries of the district

proposed to be assessed to pay the cost and expenses of said
acquisition, work or improvements may appear before said City
Council and show cause why said proposed acquisition of land,
work or improvements should not be carried out in accordance
with this resolution of intention, and may present written protests
in the form and manner required by law not later than the hour
hereinabove set for hearing objections against authorizing said
acquisition or the doing of said work, the grades to which said
work is to be done , or the extent of the territory to be assessed
to pay the cost and expenses thereof.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk of said City of Huntington
Beach shall cause this resolution of intention to be published
twice in the HUNTINGTON BEACH NEWS , a newspaper of general
circulation, published and circulated in said City of Huntington
Beach, California, which said newspaper has heretofore been
designated by said City Council as the newspaper in which shall
be printed and published all notices , resolutions , orders and
other matters required to be published in the proceedings to be
taken pursuant to this resolution and under the provisions of
the Improvement Act of 1911; the first publication of said
notice shall be not less than ten (10) days prior to the date
herein fixed for the public hearing fixed by this resolution of
intention.
SECTION 7: The Superintendent of Streets of said city

shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said
contemplated work and improvements , and on all the open streets
within the assessment district notice of the passage of this
resolution of intention in the time, form and manner required
by law.
SECTION 8: The City Clerk of said City of Huntington
Beach is hereby directed to mail notices of the adoption of this
resolution of intention, postage prepaid, to all persons owning
real property proposed to be assessed to pay any part of the cost
of said acquisition and work, whose names and addresses appear on
the last equalized assessment roll for real property taxes , or
as known to said City Clerk. Said mailing is to be completed at
least fifteen(15) days prior to the day herein fixed for the public
hearing on this resolution of intention, all in the time, form
and manner prescribed in said Improvement Act of 1911.
SECTION 9: All of the lands , rights of way and ease-
ments hereinbefore described and shown upon said plans for the
doing of said work shall be acquired by said City of Huntington
Beach, California by gift, purchase or condemnation. Said
City of Huntington Beach shall advance the cost thereof from its
General Fund, and shall assess such cost thereof, including the
incidental expenses thereof, as a part of the incidental expenses
of such improvement .
SECTION 10: Said City of Huntington Beach shall con-
tribute from its General Fund fifty percent (50%) of the actual

cost of the installation of the main sewer lines and domestic
water mains in Los Patos Avenue and Sandra Lee Streets , now
estimated to be in the amount of $13 ,411 .40. The actual amount
of said cash contribution shall be paid by said City of Huntington
Beach to the contractor doing said work and improvements , or to
his assignee , at the same time as the assessment, warrant and
diagram in this improvement district are delivered to said con-
tractor or his assignee .
SECTION 11: NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the
grades to which said work is to be done are, or may be in part,
new and different from those heretofore established, or may be and
in some cases are different from existing ground levels .
SECTION 12: The total estimated cost of said work and
improvements , including estimated incidental costs , is in the
amount of $ 64,622.98
SECTION 13: The estimated cost of said acquisition of
property is $38,756 .88, and is in addition to the total estimated
cost of said work and improvements hereinabove set forth.
SECTION 14: NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the
report of Southworth & Stevens, Inc. , assessment engineers of
this improvement district upon the proposed acquisition of land
and improvement, as approved by said City Council , is on file in
the office of the City Clerk of said City of Huntington Beach,

and open to public inspection.
