A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF
HOURLY WAGES FOR EACE CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK.-
14AN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
A WATER MAIN AND APPURTENANCES IN ALABAMA
STREET FROM FRANKFORT AVENUE TO ATLANTA AVENUE,
AND IN HUNTINGTON STREET FROM FRANKFORT AVENUE
to 168 FAT SOUTH OF M`11IRA AVENUE, AND III TWO
ALLEYS BETWEEN A[,ABA'19A STREET fi1gD HUNTINGTON
STREET, AND IN TWO ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 102 AND 302,
VISTA DEL MAR TRACT, ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has
conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general pre—
vailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in
the construction of a water main and appurtenances in Alabama Street
from Frankfort Avenue to Atlanta .Avenue, and in Huntington Street from
Frankfort Avenue to 165 feet south of Elmira Avenue, and in two alleys
between Alabama Street and Huntington Street, and in two alleys in
Blocks 102 and 302, Vista Del Mar Tract, and has considered evidence
presented.
NOW TTFREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the
general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen
needed in the construction of a water main and appurtenances in Alabama
Street from Frankfort Avenue to Atlanta Avenue and in Huntington Street
from Frankfort Avenue to 1.68 feet south of Elmira Avenue, and in two
alleys between Alabama Street and Huntington Street, and in two alleys
in Blocks 102 and 302, Vista Del Mar Tract, within the City of Huntington
Beach and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime
work, is as follows:

OVERTIME RATES
OPMLT17NG ENGINEERS. - Time and one-half for all overtime, except
Sundays and holidays, which are double time.
LABO1U1RS Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time.
TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time.
CEMENT MASONS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which
are double time.
The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the
schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract,
shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar
or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements.
The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre-
vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per
hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a
full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a
fr?ctional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour

multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than
for overtime and/or Sundays or legal Holidays.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on the
15 th day of June 1964.

affirmative vote of more than a majority of all the members of said
City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15 th day of
