AN ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL
VACATING A PORTION OF TWO UN-
NAMED STREETS IN THE W. T.
NEWLAND TRACT IN THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, did by unanimous vote on the 18th day of May, 1964, at
a regular meeting of said body, regularly and duly adopt Resolution
No. 1962, entitled, "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach to vacate a Portion of Two Unnamed Streets in the
W. T. Newland Tract in said City and Giving Notice of Hearing on
said Vacation"; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
did elect to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act
of 1941; and
WHEREAS, the portion of the streets to be vacated lies within
the City of Huntington Beach and is not a portion of a state highway;
and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach did
cause a copy of said resolution of intention to be published in the
Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of general circulation, printed
and published in the City of Huntington Beach, by one insertion on the
21st day of May, 1964; and
WHEREAS, said resolution contained a notice that the 15th
day of June, 1964, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall, Huntington Beach, was the time and place
when and where a public hearing was to be held upon said resolution
of intention, at which hearing all persons interested in or objecting
to the proposed vacation may be heard; and

WHEREAS, notice of street vacations were posted as required
bylaw; and
WHEREAS, there were no protests or persons appearing
against said proposed street vacations at said hearing; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
finds and determines from all evidence submitted that the portion
of the Two Unnamed Streets in the W. T. Newland Tract described
in Resolution No. 1962 is unnecessary for present or prospective
public street purposes:
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach hereby resolves as follows:
Those portions of streets in the W. T. Newland Tract,
in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State
of California, as per map recorded in book 4, page 56 of
Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder
of said Orange County, described as follows:
PARCEL 1: The West 20 feet of the street adjoining Lots
1320, 1420, 1520 and 1620 on the East, lying between the
Easterly prolongation of the North line of said Lot 1620
and the Easterly prolongation of a line parallel with and
20 feet South of the South Line of said Lot 1320.
PARCEL 11: The North 20 feet of the street adjoining
Lots 1319 and 1320 on the South, lying between the Southerly
prolongation of the West line of said Lot 1319 and the
Southerly prolongation of a line parallel with and 20 feet
East of the East line of said Lot 1320.
That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause
a certified copy of this Order, attested by the Clerk under the seal
of this City, together with a certified copy of Resolution No. 1962
to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County
California.

Huntington Beach, California, this 15th day of June, 1964.

City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of
tl-e City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number
of members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is
five; that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
affirmative vote of,more than a majority of all the members of said
City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day
of June 1964, by the following vote:
