A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH SUPPORTING THE
OPPOSITION OF ORANGE COUNTY COMMUTERS
ASSOCIATION TO SANTA FE RAILWAY'S APPLI-
CATION TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISS-
ION TO REDUCE THE PRESENT DAILY ROUND-
TRIP SCHEDULE.
WHEREAS, the Santa Fe railway has applied to the State
Public Utilities Commission to reduce service between San
Diego and Los Angeles, `and points in between, removing the
early morning and late afternoon trains currently providing
commuter service to between 200 and 300 Orange County riders;
and
WHEREAS, an even more adequate schedule of commuter ser-
vice is needed, making it more important that the Santa Fe
continue their present daily schedule until an adequate
commuter service can be provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach that it supports the stand of
the Orange County Commuter Association in opposing a reduct-
ion in the round trip service between Los Angeles and San
Diego.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, this 15th day of June ,
1964.

officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of tie City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15thday of June
1964, by the following vote:
