" (b) "SfiiALL THE ORDINiNCE AMENDING SECT-_-L-ON 1261 OF THE HUNT'.1-1-N-GTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE TO I'vIAKE THIE OFFICE OFTHE: CHIEF OF POLICE OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, AN APPOINT- IVE OFFICE: BE ADOP'TEDVI NOW, THEREFiCRE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETER- 111NE AND ORDER as follows : &ZCTIT"-'.N 1. That this City Council, being the Legislative body of the City of Huntington Beach, hereby authorizes Donald D. Shipley Jake R. Stewart Thomas H. Welch members of said body, to file written arguinenis for the city measuresset forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elections Code of the State of California and to change said arguments until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said City measures may be sub- mitted to him* ADOPTED9 SIGNED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of August, 1964.
