HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2037 RESOLUTION No. 2037 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH MAKING A D=!'R IN_-`.TION OF THE PROTESTS MADE AT THE TIME OF HE�'s,HING ON "SUNSET HEIGHTS No. 3 AN'NEXATION The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, on the 1st day of June, 1964, the Council of the City of Huntington Beach did pass and adopt Resolution No. 1979, giving notice of the proposal to annex certain un- inhabited territory to the City of Huntington Beach, said territory being therein designated as "Sunset Heights No. 3 Annexation", and said Resolution described the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 19�9 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning real prop- erty within the said territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing not less than 40 nor more than 60 days from the date of passage of said resolution; and IWIHEREAS, on the 6th day of July, 1964, and continued to the 20th day of July, 1964, at the hour of 7 :30 P-M- In the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 1959 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said 1. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting- ton Beach does hereby determine that protests have not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown on the last equalized assessment roll, not by public owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed, as de- termined by said Legislative Body.
