HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2050 RESOLUTION NO. 2050 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH MAKING A DETERMINATION OF THE PROTESTS MADE AT THE TIME OF HEAR- ING ON 'SUNSET BEACH NO. 3 ANNEXATION." The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of August, 1964, the Council of the City of Huntington Beach did pass and adopte Resolution No. 2023 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory ' to the City of Huntington Beach, said territory being therein des- ignated as 'Sunset Beach No. 3 Annexation", and said Resolution des- cribed the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No.2023 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the said territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing not less than 40 nor more than 60 days from the date of passage of said resolution; and WHEREAS, on the 21st day of September, 1964, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2023 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation. RES. NO. 2050 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby determine that protests have not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown on the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed, as determined by said Legislative Body.
