WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general pre— vailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the reconstruction, surfacing, and improvements of Bolsa Avenue from Edwards Street to 1800 feet westerly, McFadden Avenue from Spring— dale Street to 3960 feet westerly, Springdale Street from Bolsa Avenue to McFadden avenue, and Springdale Street from McFadden Avenue to 1320 feet southerly, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California and, has considered evidence presented. MvENT 1,=ONS - Time and, one-half for the first three hours after the regularly constituted straighttime shift, and all other overtime shall be double time. OPERAT11,1G ENGI'NEERS -First three hours outside the regularly constituted shift shall be at the rate of time and one-half. Ill additional hours shall be at double-time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one-half and all additional hours at double-time. Sundays shall be double-time. IRON WOrdTRS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess of eight (8) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays. 5 Resolution No. 2066 LABORERS I - Time and one-hall, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. ILLT,=E0 - Time and one-half., except Sundays and holidays., which are double time. "The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule,, but which may be required to execute the proposed con- tract, shall be cormaensurate and in accord with the rates specified for 'similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements." The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre- vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hlourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour mult- iplied by the niznaber of hours worked on said day other than for over- time and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
