A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPOINTING.ATTORNEYS ,
ASSESSMENT. DISTRICT NO. 6402
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, in regular session assembled
this 7th day of December, 1964, that JOHN T. GANAHL and JANES
D. PLUNKETT be and they are hereby appointed as attorneys to
prepare all resolutions,, notices and other papers and proceed-
ings for any work and improvement that may be hereafter auth-
orized by said City Council in this improvement district; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said attorneys shall
receive as compensation for their services herein an amount
equal to two percent (20%) of the construction costs , but not
less than $250.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said compensation shall
be paid as follows:
(a) Three-fourths (3/4) thereof at the time of
signing the contract with the contractor who may be awarded
said contract by this body; and
(b) The balance thereof at the time of recording the
assessment, diagram and warrant; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if said proceedings
shall fail to be carried to conclusion, then said attorneys
shall be paid a reasonable compensation for their services

performed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said services shall
not include any services for litigation or services in pro-
curement of easements and rights of way, but shall be solely
for the preparation of all resolutions, notices and other
papers and proceedings required by the provisions of the
Improvement Act of 1911 in carrying through the proceedings
for the work herein contemplated.

I, PAUL C. JONES , the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said city, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of December,
1964, by the following vote:
