HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2074 RESOLUTION NO. 2074 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ENDORSING AND GUARANTEEING FULL COOPERATION OF THE CITY IN ANY DEVELOPMENT OF ARTIFICIAL REEFS BY THE WILDLIFE CONSERVATION BOARD OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the Wildlife Conservation Board of the State of California has a program of habitat development for wildlife, including the construction of artificial marine reefs for the benefit of fishlife and the fishing public; and WHEREAS, a program of constructing such improvements in ocean waters within or nearby the City of Huntington Beach, State of California, would benefit the people of the City and the State generally by the development of our natural resources; and WHEREAS, such artificial marine reefs have been proposed in conjunction with the public fishing pier in the City of Huntington Beach; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that said Council go on record in favor of the developing of said artificial reefs to improve fishing from the Huntington Beach pier by the State of California by and through the Wildlife Conservation Board. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Wildlife Conservation Board of the State of California be advised that the City Council will cooperate fully in such a coordinated project for the City of Huntington Beach, and that a copy of this resolution 1. Res . No. 2074 be forwarded to said Wildlife Conservation Board .
