WHEI?F.;AS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general pre— vailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction of street improvements, chanalization, and, signalization of the following intersections: Bolsa Avenue at Bolsa Chica :street, Bolsa Avenue at Springdale Street, Adams Avenue at Brookhurst Street, and Beach Boulevard at Taylor Avenue, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California and has considered evidence presented. NOW THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City Y y of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction of street kaprovements, channelization, and signalization of the following intersections: Bolsa Avenue at Bolsa Chica Street, Bolsa Avenue at Springdale Street, Adams Avenue at Brook— hurst Street, and Beach Boulevard at Taylor Avenue, all in the City of Huntington Beach, and the general prevailing rate of legal holidays and overtime work, is as follows: 1. CLIAENT IMASONS - Time and one-half for the first three hours after the regularly constituted stright time shift, and all other overtime shall be double time. OTERAM4G ENGINE-ERS - First three hours outside the regularly constituted shift shall be at the rate of time and. one-half. All additional hours shall be at double-time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one-half and all additional hours at double time. Sundays shall be double-time. IRON WORKERS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess 5 Resolution No. 2078 of eight (8) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays. LABOREFS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays,, which are double time. TELNISTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. "The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed con- tract, shall hall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements." The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre- vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour, Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per them wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour mult- iplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for over- time and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
