the City of Huntin,Yton Beach desires to improve
Warner Avenue from 2000 feet West of Bolsa Chica Street to 1700
feet -East of Bolsa Chica Street, and
'01,11EREAS, 1-Varner Avenue is an important artery in the County
of Oran.-,e and of general County interest., and
WHER&M, Article 2 and Article 3., Chapter 9, Division 2 of the
Streets and Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to
expend funds apportioned to it out of the California Highway Users
Tax Fund for aid to any City in the improvement, construction or
repair of a street within a City, and
10MIMEAS., the Board of Supervisors intends to., by appropriate
action, provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement
Fund for the Fiscal Year 165-66 a sun of money for the improvement
of streets within the incorporated cities of the County in accordance
with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program.
NMI TM=PORE, BE, IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Huntington Beach hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Orange to allocate to said City from County Funds the amount
Of 07,300.00, said amount to be matched by funds from said City., to
be used to aid said City in the improvement of Warner Avenue from
2000 feet 'Hest of Bolsa Chica Street to 1700 feet East of Bolsa Chica,
Street,, said improvements to be in accordance with the attached project
statement;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Boar6 of Supervisors of the
County of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work on Warner
Avenue, in the manner provided, is in the general County interest.
BE IT FURTF:ER RESOLVED that., by this Resolution., the City of
Huntington Beach agrees with the basic concepts of the Irterial Highway
Financing Program; and further agrees that its share of the cost of
improvements and rights of way will be available for the fiscal year
t65-66.

I, PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and acting City
Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of December
1964, by the following vote:
