RESOLUTION No. 2093
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RECOMMEND-
ING A DIVISION OF THE HUNTINGTON BEACH-
SEAL BEACH JUDICIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Huntington Beach-Seal Beach Judicial
District encompasses Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, Sunset
Beach, Los Alamitos, Westminster, parts of Fountain Valley,
and a large land area; and
WHEREAS, this large land area, which was primarily
agricultural, is fast changing into subdivisions; and
WHEREAS this is resulting explosion 1 in an of the

population in the area and creating a greater need for court
facilities; and
WHEREAS, traffic problems are arising from this in-
crease in population;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH that the best manner
in which to meet the needs of additional court room and to
make them accessible to those citizens using same, is by a
division of the Huntington Beach-Seal Beach Judicial District
and the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby
recommends to the County Board of Supervisors that such
division be made.

I, PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified
and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and
ex_officiv Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of
December 1964,
