WFER;AS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has
conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general pre-
vailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in
the construction of a water main aped appurtenances within alleys in
Blocks 107, 207, 307, 407, 507, 607; in Blocks 108, 2082 308, 408, 508,
608; in Yorktown Avenue from Seventeenth Street 765 feet ± to Delaware
Street; in Huntington Street from Seventeenth 175 feet ± to YorktoWr
Avenue; in Huntington Street from Clay Avenue to 243 feet ± south of
Clay .!Avenue; in Clay avenue from Huntington Street to 120 feet ± west
of Huntington Street; in Pelaware Street from 76 feet ± south of
Yorktown Avenue to 310 feet ± north of Yorktown Avenue; in Delaware
Street from Clay Avenue to 725 feet ± south of Clay Avenue, and has
considered evidence presented.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the
general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen

needed in the construction of F- water main and appurtenances within
alleys in Blocks 107,, 207, 307, 1+07, 507) 607; in Blocks 108, 208, 308,
408, 508, 608; in Yorktown Avenue from Seventeenth Street 765 feet +
to Delaware Street; in Huntington Street from Seventeenth 175 feet +
to Yorktown Avenue; in Huntington Street from C18- r Avenue to 2/+3 feet
+ south of Clay Avenue; in Clay Avenue from Huntington Street to 120
feet + west of Huntington Street; in Delaware Street from 76 feet +
south of Yorktown Avenue to 310 feet + north of Yorktown Avenue; in
Delaware Street from Clay Avenue to 725 feet + south of Clay Avenue,
within tII--e City of Huntington Beach and the general prevailing rate of
legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows:

The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the
schedule, but which may be required to exec-ate the proposed contract,
shall I)e comi-riensurate and in accord with the rates specified for
si_iilar or comparable duties in the Southern California 1viaster Labor
Agreements.
The rates per hour, indicated above are based, -upon the local pre-
vailing rates per eaa-y being eight tines the above scheduled rate per
hour. Hourly rates of -pay are based upon eight hours per day for a
full day or a fractional part of a d)ey. The per them wages of a
fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multi-
plied by the number of hours worked on said. day other than for overtime
an6i/or Sundays or legal Holidays.
