RESOLUTION No. 2112 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHAB_ ITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIG_ NATED AS "BOLSA CHICA STATE PARK ANNEXATION" AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH: Section 1. That pursuant to the provisions of the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939". as set forth in Sections 35340 to 35326 inclusive of the Government Code of the State of California, Resolution No. 2067 was pass- ed on November 16th, 19649 by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach in which it initiated on its own motion pro- ceedings to annex certain uninhabited territory situate in the County of Orange, State of California, hereby designated "Bolsa Chica State Park Annexation",and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the north-south one- uarter line of Section 4, Township 6 South, Range 11 Nest, gan Bernardino Base and Meridian, Orange County California, said point being the southwesterly corner of Lot k, City of Huntington Beach, as shown on a Record of Survey Recorded in Book 3, Page 28, Records of Orange County, said point also being the intersec- tion of the northeasterly right of way line of Pacific Coast Highway as shown on a Record of Survey Recorded in Book 53, Page 4o, Records of Orange County with the westerly boundary line of the present city boundary of the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, said boundary having been established by the boundary description in the Charter of the City of Huntington Beach incorporated February 179 19099 said point also being the True Point of Beginning; thence, leaving said boundary of the, City of Huntington Beach, along the following bearings, distances, and lines of the 1. .Res.No. 2112 before described northeasterl right of way line of Pacific coast Highway; N 43 34' 01" & 535.69 feet to a point of tan- gency with a curve, coneave . to the northeast having a radius of 5591.51 feet; thence northwesterly 634.34 feet, along said curve, through a central ang�e of 60-30' to a point of tangency with a line bearing N 37 04' 0l" N; 6hence 3099.18 feet, along said line, to a point; t8ence_N �7 05' 03" W 3001.11 feet to a point; thence .N 37 05' 00 W 2892.54 feet to a point of tangency TATith a curve, concave . to the southwest having a radius of 5870.61 feet; thence northwesterly 549.02 feet, along said curve, through a central angle of 1 21' 30" to a point of tangency with a line bearing N 420 26 30" N; thence 2493,80 feet, along said line to a point; thence, S 470 23' 30" W. leaving the northeasterly line of Pacific Coast Highway, 90.O0 feet to a point in the northeasterly right of way line of the Pacific Electric company as shown on the before mentioned Record of Survey Recorded in Book 53, Page 40 Records of Orange County; thence'N 420 28' 13" W. along the last described line, 1816,06 feet to a point on the westerly prolongation of the center line of Los Patos Avenue as shown on said Record of Survey Recorded in Book 53, Page 40 Records of Orange county; thence N 890 12' 26" N 291.59 feet along said westerly prolongation of the centerline of Los Patos Avenue to a point in the mean High Tide Line of the Pacific Ocean as shown on said Record of Survey Recorded in Book 53, Page 40, Records of Orange county; thence S 50 06' 14" w Three (3) miles, 15840 feet, to a point in tie Pacific Ocean; thence along the following bearings and distances which describe lines parallel with and Three (3) miles distant, measured at right angles, from the mean High fide Line of the Pacific Ocean as shown on said Record of Survey Recorded in Book 53, Page 40 Records of Orange county; S 390 53' 46" E 704.08 feet to a point, S 450 201 50" E �33.3g Beet to a pint, S 40 58' 18" Eo251.64 feet to appoint, S 2 25' 24" 566.264fget4to2a" int, 430581 2 515.56 f8et to a . point 0 3 3 E659.58 fe8t4to a poi t, S 38 51' 46" E 264-56Sfee� toga . No. 2112 of the Pacific Ocean, N 480 00' 00" E Three (3) miles, 15840 feet, along the boundary line of the City of Huntington Beach, to a point in the Mean High Tide Line of the Pacific Ocean, said point being the intersection of the Mean High Tide Line of the Pacific Ocean with the north-south one-quarter line of Section 4, Township 6 South, Range 11 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, Orange County, California; thence continuing along the boundary line of the City of Huntington Beach N 00° 15' 59" E, along said north-south one-quarter line a calculated distance of 402.96 feet, recorded as 392.76 feet, as shown on said Record of Survey Recorded in Book 53, Page 40 Records of Orange County, California, more or less, to the True Point of Beginning. Section 2. That the County Boundary Commission of Orange County, California, did in session duly assembled on January 14, 1965, approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said "Bolsa Chica State Park Annexation", as above describ- ed, and as submitted to said Commission by the City of Hunt- ington Beach. Section 3. That the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County, as established by the State Legislature during the 1963 Session, did in session duly assembled on January 27th, 1965, hold a public hearing on said "Bolsa Chica State Park Annexation", and after hearing any and all parties who were for or against such annexation, did approve such annexation as submitted to said Commission by the City of Huntington Beach. Section 4. That March 15, 1965, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., of said day in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person owning property -3- Res. No. 2112 within the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of Huntington Beach and having any objection to the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City of Huntington Beach and show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be so annexed to said City of Huntington Beach. Such protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing ob- jections to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the description and area of such property in general terms. Section 5• The City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week in the "Huntington Beach News", a newspaper of general circulation published in said City of Huntington Beach, the city in which it is proposed to annex the aforesaid territory and also in the "Westminster Herald" a newspaper published outside the City of Huntington Beach but in the County of Orange, California, the county in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Huntington Beach, said publication to be complete at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing. Section 60 and the said City Clerk is further authoriz.. ed and directed to cause written notice of such proposed annex- ation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the terr.R itory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized 40 Res. 2112 county assessment roll available on the date the above pro- ceedings were initiated, at the addresses shown on said assess- ment roll or as known to said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands in which he has any interest; either legal or equitable with said Clerk, such notice to be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed an- nexation. Section 7. In the event any land within the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by a county, the said City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed an- nexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County, such notice to be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexa- tion. Section 8. The said City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto in the manner required by law.
