HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2130 RESOLUTION No.2130 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH URGING THE STATE LEGISLATURE TO PASS SENATE BILL SCA-17. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has studied Senate Bill SCA 17; and WHEREAS, there are arguments for and against said bill; and WHEREAS, the telephone companies are in a tax sanctuary; and WHEREAS, it is felt that the telephone companies in this State should enjoy no better privileges than other public utilities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City Of Huntington Beach, California, that the Council strongly urges the passage of Senate Bill SCA 17 so that the amendment proposed may be placed on the ballot for the voters of this State to determine.
