A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH URGING THE
STATE LEGISLATURE TO PASS SENATE BILL SCA-17.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach has studied Senate Bill SCA 17; and
WHEREAS, there are arguments for and against said
bill; and
WHEREAS, the telephone companies are in a tax
sanctuary; and
WHEREAS, it is felt that the telephone companies in
this State should enjoy no better privileges than other
public utilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City Of Huntington Beach, California, that the Council
strongly urges the passage of Senate Bill SCA 17 so that the
amendment proposed may be placed on the ballot for the voters
of this State to determine.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, this 1st day of March ,
1965.

acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby

resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 1_t_ day of
