HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2134 RESOLUTION NO. 2134 A_RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL.PREVAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORKMAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS, CHANNELIZATION, AND SIGNALIZATION OF THE FOLLOWING INTERSECTIONS: MAIN AND ADAMS, WARNER AND GOLDEN WEST, EDINGER AND GOLDEN WEST, EDINGER AND SPRINGDALE, ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has con- ducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the con- struction of street improvements, channelizati.on, and signal.ization of the following intersections; Main and Adams, Warner and Golden West, Edinger and Golden West, Edinger and Springdale, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California and has considered evidence presented. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction of street improvements, channelization., and signal.izationcf the following intersections: Main and Adams, Warner and Golden West, Edinger and Golden West, Edinger and Springdale, all in the City of Huntington Beach , and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows: HOURLY WAGE TRADE OR OCCUPATION: RATE: CARPENTERS Health & Welfare - 180 per hour Pension Plan - 150 per hour Vacation - 150, per hour l Resolution No. 2 134 HOURLY WAGE TRADE OR OCCUPATION: _ RATE: CARPENTERS (cant.) CEMENT MASONS - Time and one-half for the first three hours after the regularly constituted straight time shift, and all other overtime shall be double time. OPERATING ENGINEERS - First three hours outside the regularly constituted shift shall be at the rate of time and one-half. All additional hours shall be at double-time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one-half and all additional hours at double time. Sundays shall be double-time. IRON WORKERS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess of eight (8) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked 5 Resolution No. 2134 on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays. LABORERS - Time and one-half., except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. "The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements." The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre- vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
