A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING CALIFORNIA
STATE JOINT RESOLUTION N0,2.
WHEREAS, Senate Joint Resolution No. 2 has been
submitted to the Legislature of California; and
WHEREAS, said resolution relates to proposed amend-
ment to the Constitution of . the United States concerning
legislative reapportionment; and
WHEREAS, in effeet,said amendment would allow a
state with a legislature consisting of two legislative
branches to apportion one house of Legislature on factors
other than population.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNT-
INGTON BEACH does resolve as follows:
Section 1, That the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach does approve and endorse Senate Joint
Resolution No. 2.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
send copies to all interested and affected parties.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting held
on the 15Lh day of i'iazch , 1965—
