A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF
HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORKMEN
OR MCHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
STREET It4 M1ENTS AND CHANNELIgATION OF BOLSA
CHICA STREET FR.O14 1280 FEET SOUTH OF EDINGER
AVENUE TO 2000 FEET SOUTH OF EDINGER AVENUE,
ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has
conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general pre—
vailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in
the construction of street improvements and channelization of Bolsa
Chica Street from 1280 feet south of Edinger Avenue to 2000 feet south
of Edinger Avenue, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California and
has considered evidence presented.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the
general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen
needed in the construction of street improvements and channelization of
Bolsa Chica Street from 1250 feet south of Edinger ;Avenue to 2000 feet
south of Edinger Avenue, all in the City of Huntington Beach, and the
general prevailing rate of legal holidays and overtime work, is as
follows:

OVERTIME RATS
CAR VUERS - Double time for all overtime.
GEMEIy'T MASONS - Time and one-half for the first three hours after the
regularly constituted straight time shift, and all other overtime shall
be double time.
OPERATING ENGIIWRS - First three hours outside the regularly constituted
shift shall be at the rate of time and one-half. All additional hours
shall be at double-time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall
be at time and one-half and all additional hours at double-time.
Sundays shall be double-time.
IRONEWOR - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess
of eight (S) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on
Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays.
LABORERS - Time and one=half, except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time.
TELLERS - Time and one half, except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time.
"The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in
the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed con-
tract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified
for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master
Labor Agreements."
The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre-
vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per
hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a
full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a
fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour mult-
iplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for over-
time and/or ;Sundays or Legal Holidays.

Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on the 3-ra
day of May 1965.

vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 3-r I day of May
